Trailhead Shuttle Driver - Winthrop, WA
About the position
Last year, we established a new trailhead shuttle service along Highway 20, to Hart’s Pass, and other key trailheads within the North Cascades. In 2026, we are adding a new Trailhead Shuttle Driver to our team to help us establish a daily shuttle service based out of Winthrop, WA.
What to expect
Our trailhead shuttle driving team manages a daily shuttle schedule within the North Cascades from June 15 – September 30. This new driving position would be on-call for scheduled work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays based on daily bookings. Other days may be scheduled based on the driver’s availability. Shifts vary each day but can start as early as 6:30am and typically end around 6:00pm. We typically shuttle backpackers completing popular through-hikes within North Cascades National Park, the PCT, and the PNT. Our team also assists with shuttles from Winthrop to Mount Vernon, helping connect travelers with the Amtrak station with service back to Seattle.
Naturalist Hiking Guide - Mount Vernon, WA
About the position
Our team of Naturalist Hiking Guides facilitates private hiking tours and custom shuttles throughout the region each summer season. To ensure top-quality service and reliable availability for our clients, we employ a small team of part-time local guides to help manage our dynamic summer tour schedule. Over the years, we’ve built a network of local guides who are passionate about leading memorable and informative trips for our guests, fostering a deeper connection to the outdoors.
What to expect
Based on weekly demand, part-time guides are scheduled on an ad-hoc basis to lead interpretive sightseeing tours, guided day hikes, and custom shuttles. Assignments for day tours rotate through top destinations in North Cascades National Park, focusing on naturalist interpretation of the region’s ecosystems. For qualified applicants, custom private tour assignments may also include guiding more strenuous day hikes, which range from 6 to 10 miles.
